The pilot is a 90-day trial at your facility. We install a ScanHub kiosk, set it up for your team and support you throughout. Fees are quoted in writing before you sign, and at the end you have real usage data to decide on.
You pay a monthly fee instead of buying the hardware. We own and maintain the kiosk, and if something breaks, we fix it. Monthly billing does not make it month-to-month: after the pilot, the subscription term is set out in your agreement.

We usually install within 30 days of a signed pilot agreement. We handle shipping, installation and setup, and show your team how to use the kiosk at install, so they can scan on day one.

Scanning bureaus charge per part and add shipping and turnaround time, often two to five business days. A ScanHub kiosk at your facility gives your team files in minutes, on any shift. Whether it costs less depends on how many parts you scan and what you pay today, so we build an individual cost comparison from your own numbers.
The S, M and L kiosks are 99 cm wide and 27 cm deep (39 x 10.6 in), and 53 to 74 cm tall (21 to 29 in) depending on size. The XL kiosk is 122 x 36 x 100 cm (48 x 14.2 x 39.4 in). Every size runs on a standard 120V outlet and has its own cellular connection, so it does not need to join your network. We confirm site requirements before installation.
Yes. Multiple users can scan independently, with files delivered after each scan by email or to a local USB. For high-volume environments, we can discuss multi-unit deployments.
ScanHub delivers mesh files, STL as standard, which open in SolidWorks, Fusion 360, CATIA, Geomagic and most engineering platforms as reference geometry. STEP export is also available. Turning a scan into an editable, feature-based CAD model is a separate modelling step in your CAD software.
You receive a usage report with scan volume and team adoption, so you can judge the ROI. To keep the kiosk, you sign a separate subscription agreement. If you choose not to continue after completing the pilot, we remove the kiosk at no extra charge. The pilot does not roll into a subscription on its own.
ScanHub offers three scan resolutions: HD (standard, ideal for most objects and everyday workflows), XHD (higher point density for more detailed surfaces), and UHD (maximum resolution for complex geometry and fine features). Resolution is selected based on your object type and the level of detail required. The main trade-off at higher resolutions is larger file sizes.
Yes, as the scanning step. ScanHub captures the part and delivers STL files, with STEP export also available. Your team then models the part in SolidWorks, Fusion 360, CATIA, Geomagic or another CAD platform. No drawings are needed to scan worn tooling, obsolete parts or fixtures.
Buying a 3D scanner means a capital purchase, plus calibration, software updates, maintenance and someone trained to run it. A short-term rental still leaves setup, calibration and training to your team. With ScanHub you pay a monthly fee instead, the kiosk is installed and maintained by our team, and any team member can scan with on-screen guidance. A 90-day pilot lets you compare it with your current process on your own parts before a longer commitment.
